Lulu Roberts is an independent food and wine reviewer born in the UK who specializes in Californian food and wine and alongside her team of trusty food adventurers seeks to find the best San Francisco and California have to offer.

The site looks to explore food and wine from every angle and aims to give its readers a true taste of what the city has to offer.

About Lulu:

In 2008 Lulu Roberts moved to San Francisco from London where she had been working in marketing, advertising and omnimedia. At a wine event in San Francisco she was lucky enough to meet Doug Wilder of ‘Wilder Napa Valley‘ who took her on as his Executive Coordinator. Lulu had always been fascinated by wine, and what she thought would probably stay a hobby soon turned into her passion. It wasn’t long before Lulu’s passion for wine got her writing and soon her drive became clear and she was given a blog on Wilder Napa Valley and invited to judge at the Next Gen Millennial Wine Competition in Santa Rosa in 2009 before winning the Romanian Wine Blogging Competition in 2010.

Three years later she now works freelance acting as the English eyes, ears and tasting palate under 30 in the city, attending food and wine events, searching for exciting finds and unknown stories which is dedicated to revealing the hidden culinary and wine delights this city has to offer. Lulu brings the English girls impressions and observations on the world of wine and food as an ‘outsider who is an insider’. Her experience tasting in the city and searching out real wine finds has given her a ‘nose’ for both the new and exciting as well as the staunch classics, which mustn’t be forgotten or overlooked. Lulu approaches food and wine as a lifestyle choice – a decision to love and learn about it as well as aiming to share it with anyone who has an interest so that they too can obtain an understanding of what goes into making a wine truly great.
